What’s the difference?
What’s T-1?
With traditional T-1 networking, main offices and remote offices are connected
via physical point-to-point T-1 circuits. Each remote location is required
to have its own dedicated circuit connecting it to the main office. Plus, T-1
circuits used to transmit voice between locations, can also be used to share
and transmit data networking.
What’s IP?
With IP (Internet Protocol) technology, you can efficiently and cost-effectively
network multiple offices using IP addressing. Instead of a physical dedicated
connection networking offices, IP addressing exchanges voice and data between
locations. IP networking allows networked offices to communicate with seamless
extension dialing between offices and centralized voice mail.
